Eruvaka Pournima falls on Āṣāḍha Pūrṇimā and is the Telugu farmers' ceremonial marker for beginning kharif sowing — especially in Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra — when the first seeds are sanctified, fields are worshipped, and the monsoon agricultural year is opened with simple pūjā rather than a pan-India Purāṇic festival.
On the Panchang the civil date follows āṣāḍha Pūrṇimā at local sunrise. Because tithi and nakṣatra boundaries are reckoned from local sunrise, the same observance can fall a day earlier or later in another city.
The name eruvaka ties the day to the plough and the first furrow; households or village elders may offer turmeric, coconut, and the first handful of seed to Bhūmi or a local grāmadevatā before sowing begins. It sits in the same Āṣāḍha season as Guru Pūrṇimā and the opening of Cāturmāsya in other traditions — related seasonally, but Eruvaka Pournima's centre is agrarian ritual in Telugu country, not guru-pūjā.
