Abdikam / Abdika Śrāddha Date Calculator – Annual Death Anniversary
Abdikam (Ābdika, Aabdhikam, Varsha Śrāddha, வருஷாப்திகம்) is the first-year annual ancestral rite. After twelve Masikams (and Unabdikam), families observe the yearly śrāddha on the same ancestral tithi.
First resolve the death-day Aparāhṇa śrāddha tithi, then find the civil date about one year later when that tithi is again preferred at Aparāhṇa. Tamil speakers also search “திவசம்”, “தேவசம்”, and “thivasam calculator” for the same annual observance.
Drikganita uses local place astronomy so London, Singapore, and Chennai observers may see different civil dates for the same death tithi.
